NEHRP is having efficient and effective Procurement team. Eng. Suresh Miranda is working as Procurement Specialist for this programme. Procurement Division of NEHRP is in charge for the procurement of Goods, Service and Works. NEHRP procurement is followed under the guideline of World bank Procurement Procedure , published in May 2004.

The objective in procurement is to achieve an open and fair competition among all suppliers of goods, contractors carrying out civil works and providing workers, and consultants providing services, from all member countries for the highest quality with the minimal price.  Towards this end, the Project adopts eight fundamental principles in procurement:

1. Use of funds only for intended purposes;

2. Use of funds with Economy and efficiency;

3. Advance notice to all parties;

4. Competitive selection;

5. Appropriate evaluation criteria;

6. Appropriate technical specification/terms of reference;

7. Open and transparent processes;

8. Highest standard of ethics – No fraud and corrupt practices.
